The First Cruise of 2012

IMG_1467_crop

A Great Turnout for the first cruise night of 2012!

It was good to see everyone come out last night, despite the clouds and cool breeze.

There will be a meeting on Monday of next week (May 7) to go over the first night and iron out any wrinkles.

A sure sign...

Doug Ecker

Doug Ecker Sr.
1950-2012

After a short courageous battle with cancer, our loving husband, dad, and grandpa, Doug Ecker Sr. went home to be with his Lord in his 63rd year on March 13, 2012, surrounded by his family at his late residence.
Survived by his loving wife and best friend Susan (nee Pettinger), his children Doug Jr., Teresa, Rhonda (John), and Jeff (Connie). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Kristen (Adam), Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Carter, Olivia, Allyson, Madison and Jefferson. He will be forever in the heart of his great grandson Aiden.

Survived by several brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews. A special son-in-law and brother-in-law of the Pettinger family. He will be dearly missed by a great friend Stasia Barnas. Doug loved to lend a hand and was always willing to help. He had a passion for old autos and enjoyed starting cruise night in Tillsonburg. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to join the family on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg, (519) 842-5221.

A celebration of life for Doug will be held at the Courtland United Church on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11 :00 a.m. Pastor Ted Smith will be officiating.

At the family's request memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made to the Courtland United Church or a Charity of Choice and can be made by contacting Ostrander's Funeral Home.

Personal condolences may be made at www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com
